Day 25: forgot to publish

Class 3 MSE

I wrote this on Friday, I forgot to publish it. Here it is unchanged. Read it together with Day 29, see how things progressed.

I had my orthodontist a few days ago, since then I have been doing double turns. I am pretty sure that my suture has split, or at least started to split. Yet I see absolutely no change to my front teeth, which is frustrating. I am fine with things going slowly, but based on what I feel in my face I think I should be seeing at least small changes.

On Tuesday morning I gave the MSE two turns, they were hardest to do yet. It took about two hours for the sensation of pressure to go away. Around 6pm I started to feel really flushed and noticeable pain along my suture, at 7pm I gave the MSE one more turn. I probably shouldn’t be going outside of the protocol my ortho gave me, but I felt like I was close the suture splitting and I wanted to give it a tiny bit more pressure.

At about 9pm I felt/heard an audible crack in my nasal area, and I suddenly felt a sort of relief and warmth in my face. I have heard for other MSE patients say they experienced something similar.

That was on Tuesday. I have been doing two turns a day since then, and as of today (Friday) I have not seen a diastema. I am willing to accept that things take time. One of the reasons I went with MSE was because of the time it takes. But I wonder if I am really misreading the sounds and feelings that I experience in my face. There is no way I am going to do extra turns again, I wouldn’t recommend doing that in any situation.
